01

Testing & Commissioning

We commission electrical assets across grid stations, power plants and distribution networks through disciplined test procedures and functional verification. Every activity is recorded against approved drawings, settings and acceptance criteria before energisation.

  • SAT/FAT support and approved test documentation

  • VT ratio, polarity and phasing verification
  • Secondary injection and end-to-end functional checks
  • Interlock, trip matrix and protection loop verification
  • Punch-list close-out and energisation support
02

Protection Relays

Protection schemes are configured and tested across relay families using approved coordination studies and setting files. We verify the complete chain from measured quantity through relay logic to the final trip output.

  • Relay configuration and settings verification
  • Secondary injection of current and voltage quantities
  • Distance, differential and overcurrent element testing
  • Binary input, output and programmable logic checks
  • Trip matrix and breaker-failure scheme verification
  • Functional loop and disturbance-record checks
03

Switchgear & Switchyards

Outdoor switchyards and switchgear up to 220 kV are tested for mechanical condition, insulation integrity and dependable operation. Results are correlated with manufacturer limits and commissioning baselines.

  • Contact resistance measurement in micro-ohms
  • Circuit-breaker timing and travel analysis
  • Insulation resistance and polarisation index (PI)
  • CT and VT primary equipment checks
  • Local, remote and interlock functional tests
  • Close/trip coil and anti-pumping verification
04

Transformers

Auto-transformers and power distribution transformers receive a complete electrical test suite before energisation. Measurements establish winding condition, transformation accuracy and correct phase relationship.

  • Transformer turns ratio and vector-group verification
  • Winding resistance on all tap positions
  • Insulation resistance and PI measurements
  • Magnetic balance and magnetising-current tests
  • Bushing CT ratio and polarity checks
  • OLTC operation, alarms and trip functional checks
05

Capacitor Banks & Surge Arresters

Reactive compensation and overvoltage protection equipment are inspected and tested as complete assemblies. We verify individual elements, protection interfaces and safe staged operation.

  • Capacitance and phase-balance measurements
  • Insulation resistance of bank and support insulation
  • Discharge resistor and unbalance protection checks
  • Surge arrester insulation and leakage-current checks
  • Switching sequence and interlock verification
  • Protection alarm and trip functional tests
06

GIS Equipment

Gas-insulated switchgear up to 400 kV is commissioned with close control of gas condition, primary-circuit integrity and operating sequences. Test records support safe handover of every bay and interface.

  • SF6 gas purity, moisture and decomposition checks
  • Main-circuit contact resistance in micro-ohms
  • High-voltage withstand test support
  • Breaker timing and travel analysis
  • CT/VT ratio, polarity and phasing verification
  • Bay interlock, alarm and trip matrix checks
07

Engineering Services

Protection and control engineering translates system requirements into safe, coordinated settings and executable schemes. Reviews focus on selectivity, fault duty and buildable control logic.

  • Protection relay setting calculations
  • Short-circuit and fault-level calculations
  • Control schematic and logic review
  • Protection coordination and grading checks
  • Trip matrix and cause-and-effect review
  • As-built drawing and setting-file verification
08

Cable Management

Control cable installation is managed from route preparation through termination and final loop proving. Identification, segregation and workmanship are checked at each stage.

  • Control cable laying and dressing
  • Cable trench preparation and route checks
  • Glanding, ferruling and termination
  • Continuity and insulation resistance testing
  • Core identification against cable schedules
  • Point-to-point and functional loop checks
09

Battery Systems

Station batteries and chargers are tested as the dependable DC source behind protection, control and emergency functions. We validate capacity, charger behaviour and distribution integrity.

  • Battery bank voltage and cell condition checks
  • Capacity and discharge testing
  • Charger float, boost and current-limit checks
  • DC earth-fault alarm verification
  • Battery and charger changeover tests
  • DC distribution polarity and functional checks
10

Motors & Generators

Rotating electrical machines are assessed before first run and during commissioning for insulation condition and correct protection response. Electrical findings are integrated with operational permissives.

  • Insulation resistance and PI measurements
  • Winding resistance and phase-balance checks
  • CT ratio, polarity and protection circuit checks
  • Motor protection secondary injection
  • Space-heater and temperature-sensor checks
  • Start permissive, trip and rotation verification
